Comparison with differential pressure method
Hamron Tech is the world's only specialized manufacturer of waterproof testing equipment that handles all detection methods: distortion detection, differential pressure, gauge pressure, and submersion methods.
The differential pressure method is currently known as the most popular airtight waterproof testing device. The differential pressure method is also referred to as the "volume detection method" because when a constant pressure is applied within a constant volume, the pressure changes due to the volume of the pressurized space changing as air flows into the workpiece. When used as an actual field device, the following factors can appear as judgment noise: (1) Variability in the space (volume) of the capsule when the workpiece is inserted (it is desirable to keep this as small as possible). (2) Variability in the shape (volume) of the workpiece. (3) Changes in the shape (volume) of the workpiece due to pressurization. (4) Pressure changes due to variations in the temperature of the workpiece and its surroundings. (5) Changes in the volume of the pneumatic circuit. While quantitative judgment (defining the leakage amount numerically for pass/fail determination) is possible, these noises can potentially lead to misjudgment. *WPC is not affected by these judgment noises.
